"Only let your manner of life be worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of you that you are standing firm in one spirit, with one mind striving side by side for the faith of the gospel.” Philippians 1:27

College is a unique season of life where students make several new friends, visit other like-minded churches, serve in various ministries, grow in their knowledge of Scripture, and follow Christ more faithfully. It is a flashpoint for spiritual growth. This growth in Christlikeness rarely comes alone. Rather, college students thrive in contexts where other college students come together around the preaching of the Word of God. Nothing is sweeter than making new friends in college who share a passion for the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

That is why Unity College Conference exists.

Founders Baptist Church in Spring, Lakeside Bible in Montgomery, and a handful of other like-minded college and career students from different local churches are getting together for an overnight, retreat-style conference this Fall in Hockley, TX.

So come—and invite others to come—for three sermons on biblical unity, a pastors' Q&A, music from Lakeside and Founders' bands, small group discussions on topics that interest college students, breakout sessions, fun games, free time (swimming, basketball, volleyball, skeet shooting & softball), bonfire, four shared meals together, and an unforgettable overnighter!

Our vision is for college ministries of various shapes and sizes in the greater Houston area to come together around the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Jesus prayed that we would be one just as He and His Father are one (John 17:22), so we will honor Christ by studying the Scriptures on unity in interpersonal relationships, unity within the local church, and unity among believers from other churches.

If you are "away to school" but can make it back, that is why we are meeting Friday night through Saturday. Maybe you can still come! If you have a friend who is college/career-age, invite them to come with you to hear the Word of God preached!

Girls will get first dibs for a sleeping spot inside the Ramirez’s house. Guys will bring tents and stay overnight under the stars.

Cost $50- Make checks payable to LBC. In memo portion reference UCC.
