John 3:22-36
The final verses of John 3 reveal to us the greatness of John in Jesus' eyes and the greatness of Jesus in John's eyes.

Five reasons why Jesus thought John was so great
• He faithfully fulfilled his ministry to the end (vv. 22-24)
• He confidently rested in the sovereignty of God (vv. 25-27)
• He accurately perceived his role and capabilities (v. 28)
• He greatly rejoiced in the privilege of serving Christ (v. 29)
• He willingly minimized himself to magnify Christ (v. 30)

• He was dearly aboved by the Father and bestowed with all His authority (v. 35)
• He was ultimately designated by God as the only way of salvation (v. 36)
