Matthew 16:13-20
The Church is an extension of Jesus Christ. He is the head and we are the body. We can't afford to miss church because we can't afford to miss Jesus. You can't have one without the other. This passage details Peter's confession that Jesus is the Christ and then explains how Jesus is the head of the church.
