No Condemnation

September 29, 2013 Speaker: Ken Ramey

Topic: Grace Passage: John 8:1–11

Sunday Service
John 8:1-11
In the classic account of the woman caught in adultery, Jesus modeled the perfect balance of grace and truth when ministering to sinners by not condemning her or condoning her sin.
1.  STONING SINNERS (vv. 1-9)
Capital punishment for the sin of adultery was death by stoning according to the Law of Moses. This was considered a serious transgression against God and His commandments.
2.  SAVING SINNERS (vv. 10-11)
Jesus literally saved the woman's life. This is a picture of each and every person who places their faith in Christ's saving work on the cross (Romans 8:1)
Thank God for providing you, a caught, condemned sinner, with forgiveness through the perfect life and substitutionary death of Jesus Christ. Ask Him to help you to no longer live under condemnation and to grant you the Christlike balance of grace and truth in ministering to fellow sinners.
