Selected Scriptures
Before the world began, God chose to save some people out of the mass of depraved, damned humanity to enjoy eternal life in heaven and passed over the rest and allowed them to suffer the just consequences of their sin and disbelief in eternal torment in hell. God’ choice of those who would be saved was not determined by or conditioned upon any foreseen act or response of those selected but based solely on His own sovereign purpose for His own glorious praise.
Praise God for choosing you for salvation. Ask Him to help you develop a better understanding of the doctrine of election that would serve to crush your pride, grant you assurance of your salvation, convict you to be more holy, motivate you to witness, and stimulate you to greater wonder and praise.
