A clear understanding of God’s immutability prepares us for whatever changes we are sure to face in life and provides us with the comfort and confidence we need to brave life in a world that is constantly changing, as well as a reassuring perspective in the midst of life’s painful experiences.

Scripture provides for us with a number of encouraging passages that speak to the unchanging nature of God: Psalm 102:25, Malachi 3:6, Isaiah 46:9-11, James 1:17, and Hebrews 13:8. And, because God is unchanging, His faithfulness is complete and unchanging: Deuteronomy 7:9, Psalm 33:4, 36:5, 91:4, 100:5, 119:75, and 1 John 1:9.

Praise God that based on His unchanging faithfulness, you have a steadfast rock to cling to and stand on as you navigate the ever-changing currents of life (cf. Isaiah 26:3-4). Ask Him to provide you with the comfort, confidence, strength, and hope you need to brave life in an ever-changing world.
