A True Cinderella Story
1 Samuel 25

THEME: In Samuel’s record of the kingly transition between Saul and David, we are introduced to a woman named Abigail whose passing role in God’s overarching plan for David steals the show. She exemplified most, if not all, of the characteristics of a godly woman explained, commanded, or illustrated throughout the Bible. The following NINE QUALITIES of a winsome woman are seen in Abigail’s life.

7. GOD-FOCUSED & KINGDOM-MINDED (vv. 26-31)

8. PACIFIER & PEACEMAKER (vv. 32-38)

9. SUBMISSIVE & SACRIFICIAL (vv. 39-42)

Thank God for providing you a godly mother and/or wife. Ask Him to make them more like Abigail. Pray that God would help you learn to patiently and obediently wait on Him and never take matters into your own hands like David was tempted to do in this story.
