Climbing Out of the Pain Free Zone

April 28, 2013 Speaker: Doyle Roth

Passage: 2 Corinthians 6:1–10

Sunday Service
2 Corinthians 6:1-10
In this morning's message, we see that we are not meant to go through life without pain. Indeed, being a servant of Jesus Christ comes with sacrifice and suffering. As such, great faith is required for the Christian, for in the midst of suffering comes great joy.
When you are taken out of your comfort zone, know that God is at work and that good things happen as He uses those circumstances to shape and mold you spiritually. In this morning's message, we learn from Paul's suffering that the Christian life involves work and that we are together servants of God and ambassadors of His message.
Practical application to follow Christ:
1. The Christian life is a life of SERVITUDE - of serving others (Romans 15)
2. The Christian life is a life of SACRIFICE (Romans 12)
3. The Christian life is a life of PERSONAL SELFLESSNESS (Philippians 2; 1 Peter 12)
